Introduction
PrimePort Stevedoring is a separate business unit of PrimePort Timaru Ltd.
PrimePort Stevedoring operates a modern plant and equipment fleet for cargo
marshalling and shipboard work. The plant fleet listed below has a combined
replacement value of over $8 million.
PrimePort Stevedoring has a staff base of over 60 people available for stevedoring
and cargo marshalling work. These fall into three categories -
 Permanent staff (core
personnel)
RTR staff (regular trained relief
staff)
ITF staff (intermittent trained
relief staff)
This workforce can be supplemented by other casual staff and by the staff of
sub-contracted companies.
ISO 9002 Certification is an important feature of the PrimePort operation.
Currently
is certified to ISO 9002 in its Container Yard facility and in Marine
Services.
